In the film “Dangal,” Suhani Bhatnagar played the role of Babita Phogat, the daughter of Aamir Khan‘s character. She passed away on Saturday in Delhi at the age of 19. This news has shocked and saddened her admirers. Suhani had received much praise for her acting in the film. Her performance had even garnered attention among prominent child actors in the industry. Suhani had encountered a tragic incident some time back, resulting in a head injury. She was undergoing treatment and medication to aid her recovery. In a conversation with TV India Live nearly two years ago, Suhani was questioned about her decision not to fully exploit the success of “Dangal” and pursue more film projects. Responding in Hindi, she stated, “Aside from films, I have engaged in photoshoots, fashion exhibitions, and events. However, presently, my focus isn’t on films as I’m dedicated to my studies. I’m currently in 10th grade. Post completing my foundational education, I certainly aspire to pursue films and aspire to take on lead roles.”
Aamir Khan Productions expressed profound grief at Suhani’s demise, conveying in a statement shared on social media, “We are profoundly saddened by the news of Suhani’s passing. Our deepest condolences go out to her mother Poojaji and the entire family. Suhani was an incredibly talented young girl and a valuable team player. ‘Dangal’ would have been incomplete without her. Suhani, you will forever remain a star in our hearts. May you rest in peace.
