Stock Market Holidays In 2024
“As the curtains draw on 2023, Indian equity markets conclude the year with robust double-digit gains. The BSE Sensex surged 18.10%, and the NSE Nifty climbed 19.42% on a year-to-date basis. However, the final trading session witnessed a slight dip, with the Sensex slipping 170 points (0.23%) to close at 72,240, and the Nifty falling 47 points (0.22%) to end at 21,731. Ajit Mishra, SVP – Technical Research at Religare Broking, noted a modest correction on the last trading day, citing a mixed sectoral trend. Looking ahead to 2024, investors anticipate a resilient Nifty, with a focus on stock selection and preference for index majors.”
