Ayodhya International Airport, officially named as Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham, is an upcoming international airport which will serve the cities of Ayodhya and Faizabad in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.
The Ram Mandir construction in Ayodhya is nearing its completion, with January 22nd set as the date for the consecration ceremony. According to India’s Civil Aviation Minister Jyotir Aditya Sindhya, the initial phase of the Ayodhya International Airport is also scheduled to be completed by the end of December. Underlining the government’s commitment to airport development, the Union Minister confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially inaugurate the airport upon its completion. The airport project, built at a cost of Rs 1,450 crore, boasts of a 6 ,500 square metre terminal building. It can accommodate an annual footfall of 6 lakh passengers.
